As part of the important commitments outlined in our Tuna Sustainability Policy, minimizing negative impacts along coastal areas has been one of the work plans that FCF strives to improve. FCF appreciates every kind of approach to create a greener ocean. In order to communicate the awareness of environmental protection as part of the company’s culture, FCF chose to hold a beach cleanup event on February 20. (a make-up workday for Chinese New Year holidays).
During the event, over 140 participants, including FCF employees and their friends and families, joined the cleaning session at Qijin, a famous tourist site in Kaohsiung City. A variety of trash that is harmful to the environment was collected, including pieces of plastic, retort pouches, Styrofoam, glass, and even food waste, materials that are slow to degrade if not properly disposed of.
Marine pollution is an issue that FCF takes very seriously. FCF supports the activities that cherish marine resources while also enhancing corporate bonding between our employees.
